James Pritchard, Jr.

Dover, N.J. (April 21, 2007) - A move many years in the making has been made as James Pritchard Motorsports has handed the keys to the family car to eighteen year-old James Pritchard, Jr. The driver of the No. 41 Mannings USA Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS will make his NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch East Series debut in the 2007 season.

The younger Pritchard comes to Busch East after successful stints in Factory Stocks and Modfieds at the short tracks of eastern Pennsylvania. He's no stranger to Busch East cars, though. He's logged testing laps in the Mannings USA car over the course of the last two years in addition to wrenching on the cars at the team's Dover, New Jersey shop and serving as crew chief at the track.

Pritchard, who also has go-kart and motorcross racing in his background, is part of a sizeable rookie class in the Busch East Series. Many of the other rookie candidates are racing for Nextel Cup operations with sizeable resources.

"I'm David, and they're Goliath," he said. "They'll have all the best stuff and a lot of money behind them. The difference in equipment will show at the bigger tracks, but at the short tracks, it'll be driver versus driver. I'll have a good car, a good setup, and a good crew behind me so I should be able to run right up there with them."
